Otaku Sakamichi Onoda has just entered high school and plans to join the anime club. Though it's also popular with younger kids, is an internationally popular teenager and young adult media franchise. The storyline and characters of were partially inspired by the Chinese people novel Journey to the West, though they and the novel diverge quickly. They are led by the journey to the desert bandit Yamcha, who afterwards becomes an ally; Chichi, whom Goku unknowingly consents to wed; an impish guy who seeks the Dragon Balls to satisfy his need to rule the planet, and Pilaf. Goku subsequently gets extensive training regimes under the martial arts master Kame-Sen'nin to be able to fight in the Tenkaichi Budokai ("Strongest Under the Heavens Martial Arts Tournament"). A monk named Kuririn becomes competitor and his training partner, however they soon become best friends. Following the tournament, Goku searches for the Dragon Ball his grandfather left him and nearly singlehandedly conquers their hired assassin Taopaipai and the Red Ribbon Army. At the Tenkaichi Budokai three years after Goku and his allies fight Kame-Sen'nin's competition and the brother of Taopaipai, Tsuru-Sen'nin, and his pupils Tenshinhan and Chaozu. Kuririn is killed following the tournament and his killer, Piccolo Daimao tracks down and defeats Goku. Goku is taken by the samurai Yajirobe to the hermit Karin, where he receives a power boost and healing. Meanwhile, Piccolo fights with Kame-Sen'nin and Chaozu, resulting in both their departures, and uses before ruining Shenlong the Dragon Balls to recover his youth. Piccolo Daimao, who, just before expiring, spawns his son/reincarnation Piccolo is subsequently killed by Goku. Karin subsequently directs Goku to Kamisama, the first inventor of the Dragon Balls, renovate his slain buddies and to restore Shenlong. Goku trains under Kami for the following 3 years, once again reuniting in the Tenkaichi Budokai with his buddies, where he narrowly wins against Piccolo before leaving with Chichi to keep his promise to wed her.
Five years after, Goku is a young adult and dad to his son Gohan, when Raditz arrives on Earth, identifies Goku as his smaller brother 'Kakarrot' and discloses to him that they're members of a virtually extinct extraterrestrial race known as the Saiyans (Saiyajin?), who sent Goku to capture Earth for them, until he suffered a serious head injury and lost all memory of his assignment. Goku gives his life to defeat Raditz, and refuses to continue the assignment, sides with Piccolo. Under the North Kaio Goku trains in the afterlife until he's restored by the Dragon Balls to save the Earth from the invading Nappa and Vegeta. In the conflict Yamcha, Chaozu, Tenshinhan, and Piccolo are killed, and the Dragon Balls stop to exist. Kuririn and the galactic tyrant Freeza learn of another set of Dragon Balls on planet Namek (Namekkusei?), whereupon Bulma, Gohan, and Kuririn search to allow them to restore their buddies and later the Earth's Dragon Balls, resulting in a number of conflicts with Freeza's minions and Vegeta, the latter standing alongside the heroes to fight the Ginyu Force, a team of mercenaries. The long fight with Freeza himself comes to a close when Goku gets the better of him and transforms into a Super Saiyan of legends.
Several Androids (Jinzoningen?, "Artificial Humans") created with an associate of the former Red Ribbon Army, Doctor Gero, seem three years after, seeking revenge against Goku. In now, an evil life form named Cell additionally emerges and, after consuming two of the Androids to accomplish his "perfect form," holds his own fighting tournament to challenge the protagonists. Gohan avenges his father by conquering Cell after Goku loses his own life to no avail. Seven years after, his allies, and Goku, briefly restored for just one day are drawn into a fight against Majin Boo. After numerous conflicts, including destruction and recreation of the Earth, Goku ruins Boo with a Genki Dama (a sector of pure energy brought from all intelligent beings on Earth) and wishes for him to be reincarnated as a "good person." Ten years after, at another Tenkaichi Budokai, Goku meets Oob, Boo's human reincarnation. Leaving their match incomplete, Goku departs with Oob to train him to be the new guard in Earth.

Junior high school pupil Shoyo After viewing a nationwide tournament match on Television, Hinata develops a surprising love of volleyball. Everyone has their own personal taste when it comes to a favorite manga, and there's no question that the "old school" manga of a few decades ago not only have their strong original following but the modern growth in animation of all types over the past decade and change have added droves of new followers to even many of these old school manga. Hunter x Hunter is a special style of Japanese manga by Yoshihiro Togashi. This manga has a strong history and unlike many other manga that started in the late 1990s, it still is in active publication.
In fact, part of the reason you can read Hunter x Hunter manga online is because the history proves how popular this particular series is. Few series have had the lasting power of this manga and because of that, it's still popular and easy to find online.
Togashi's Hunter manga has appeared as a serial series in a magazine called "Weekly Shonen Jump" since early March in 1998. The stories showed up consistently for 8 years until 2006. The story has continued since then, although there would be lengthy hiatuses here and there so it was no longer a weekly release. While this means the stories continue to expand, as of December of 2012 there were 340 chapters of Hunter x Hunter. When split up, this still leads to an amazing 32 volumes of manga content.
While obviously this will be an oversimplification of the plot (it's not really possible to succinctly list a 200 word plot summary of a 32 volume manga), this story stars with a main character who is a boy named Gon Freecss. He originally thought his father was dead but found out this was a lie and his father was actually alive and a hunter famous throughout the world.
Whether it was hunting down treasure, dangerous outlaws on the loose, rare animals, or lost civilizations, there were plenty of adventures available to go on. On a coaching journey in the Bayankala Mountain Range in the Qinghai Province of China, his father Genma and Ranma Saotome belong to the cursed springs at Jusenkyo. They take the physical kind of whatever drowned there hundreds or 1000s of years past every time they touch cold-water when somebody falls into a spring. The hex will revert when exposed until their chilly water exposure to hot-water. While Ranma falls into the springtime of a drowned woman Genma falls to the springtime of a panda.
Upon returning to Japan, the pair settle in Nerima, Tokyo in the dojo of Genma's old friend Soun Tendo, a fellow professional of Musabetsu Kakuto Ryu or "Anything-Goes School" of martial-arts which Genma passed on to Ranma. Soun and Genma concurred years ago that their kids would marry and carry-on the Tendo Dojo. Soun has three teenaged daughters: the somewhat spiteful, martial-arts, the indifferent and selfish Nabiki and the easygoing and polite Kasumi training Akane. Akane, who's Ranma's age, is named for bridal duty by her sisters using the logical thinking that because Ranma is just a guy half of that time period and Akane dislikes guys, they're perfect together. Both Akane and Ranma refuse the betrothal initially, having not been consulted on the conclusion, however they can be usually handled as betrothed and wind up saving or helping each other on some events.
