What? What else is she supposed to do? She's held captive (which is arguably her own fault but she's also not a fighter and was trying to help a friend and their mentor) and likely can't write a little footnote that says "oh hey I'm kidnapped and being forced to write this, don't actually divorce me. PS please come get me". They're going to read her letter for shit like that or codes or something so she didn't have another option. She's probably banking on her husband not misunderstanding the entire situation and coming to confirm with her because he loves her and wouldn't want to just ditch her based on a single letter.
