“Have you heard of the mimic slug?” The protagonist, a researcher of mysterious creatures, receives a suspicious letter. It is a request to use a mimic slug, which can transform into whoever it sees, to make it look as if a dead daughter has come back to life. Carrying a foreboding feeling, the researcher arrives at the mansion— where a “young lady” is waiting for them.
