That aunt of her is so vain. After taking her in what did she even do for her. Author is lacking in plotline. She didn't even inquiry whether Aubrey can read or write. She had to teach herself with the help of servants. Should have hired an etiquette teacher for her since she grew up as a commoner lacking idea how to act in high society. Also didn't do jack shit to teach her own daughter about Aubrey's situation and make amends among the cousins. Honestly i hate characters like this aunt more than actual villains.
