I Wish...
Summary
From Tokyopop:
K is a wizard who can grant wishes--all he asks in return is that which is most precious to the wisher...
Mourning from a horrific loss, Jin Ryu wants K to bring back her parents and brother from the dead. But when K tells her that a wish such as this can only lead to greater tragedy, he agrees to take her on as an apprentice. Now Jin observes K with his various and sundry clients: A father who wants to put a stop to his son's relationship... A young woman who longs for her lover to remember... A boy who will do anything to be accepted...

So, having binged this manga... It had a good start where a technical one-trick-pony was able to be amazing by applying knowledge, effort and imagination to turn a basic magic technique into the most versatile and powerful magical force conceivable. It even came to the point that within his barriers he was a god who could create a pocket of literal Heaven... Now, it just feels derivative and generic.
The MC's chaste wife seems to have changed for the worst; while hinted at being a special existence by her biological father, she is now some kind of reincarnated Angel? No explanation given as to the change... and now the Elder Super-Vamp Queen he turned into his familiar has become just an upstart youngster of her race. She was supposed to be the most knowledgeable and powerful of her kind which is why he encountered her first as she was the first to break her seal due to her formidable power and familiarity with the magic used on her and her kind... The long this series goes, the worst it gets... I mean; did the author just completely drop the plot about his previous country going to shit without him and how they desperately want him back? Ah well.
