Summary
Ottilie, a marquise with the ability to "read minds," has been tormented by her sister, who has the power of enchantment, since she was a child. One day, Ottilie somehow finds herself at a royal party. "You can read minds... Very well. " As usual, she was supposed to be a complement to her sister, but for the first time she hears a voice in her mind that recognizes her ability. To my surprise, the voice belongs to the Dauphin Varric! He likes her abilities and appoints Ottilie as the Dauphin's assistant. Ottilie is very active and shows her ability to live up to the expectations of the Dauphin. Gradually, she regains her confidence and enjoys her work life to the fullest. Otilje respects Verlick as her boss, but Verlick is always sweet on her...? On the other hand, when her sister finds out about Ottilie's success, she becomes jealous and starts to run amok.... A story of a daughter who has nothing to do with love, but finds happiness!

In a system like that there would need to be rigorous documentation and certificates of prior ownership/guardianship or else anyone and everyone would just get grabbed off the street and enslaved at any time, and such a society would collapse instantly. So these slavers wouldn't have such documentation unless it was a forgery since the kids were just kidnapped; both offenses should be very serious capitol crimes. Once again, the day is saved by glorious Bureaucracy! (and the MC's knowledge and exploitation there of).
