Black Queen
Summary
“I can’t afford a coffin so I got you a box,” a boy murmured to the wind, tears dried and eyes empty. Staring at the box carrying the dead baby girl sinking into the Holy River, the boy couldn’t bear it anymore: “no! Let me see you one last time!” Jumped into the Holy River, the boy mistakenly took another box, in which there was also a baby girl, alive, breathing, crying! “Is God giving me another sister to pity me,” the boy wiped out tears, “poor girl, you’ll be my sister from now on…” Yet, little did these two knew they were just pawns in someone’s game….

In a system like that there would need to be rigorous documentation and certificates of prior ownership/guardianship or else anyone and everyone would just get grabbed off the street and enslaved at any time, and such a society would collapse instantly. So these slavers wouldn't have such documentation unless it was a forgery since the kids were just kidnapped; both offenses should be very serious capitol crimes. Once again, the day is saved by glorious Bureaucracy! (and the MC's knowledge and exploitation there of).
