After Sweet Pastries Comes Sweet Devotion

Richelle goes to the royal palace to bring handmade sweets to her fiancé, who is always too busy with work to make time for her. But what she witnesses there is her fiancé kissing a young lady who is supposedly just a colleague. Stunned, Richelle is then showered with insults by her fiancé. To make matters worse, he mocks her for making sweets—“something only servants do”—and abruptly announces their engagement is over. The one who stays by her side and tells her that her sweets “taste gentle,” appreciating them wholeheartedly, is Lucian, the son of a frontier margrave and an aide to the crown prince. While Lucian watches over her and spoils her with his unintentional devotion, Richelle’s own feelings slowly begin to blossom.
